Brett Maline (SHP 2001-2002, 2004) visited with Mike Lewis (SHP 1986-1990, SHPAA founder) recently about his SHP experience and how it influenced his acting, writing, and directing career and his personal life. In this entertaining conversation, Brett dropped LOTS of names of other SHPers he looked up to, learned from, and still keeps in contact with. For him, the most important thing about SHP was being around people with outside-the-norm interests and passions. Creatively, the most important lesson he learned was to be unafraid to put yourself around people more talented than you, because that motivates you to constantly push yourself.
